National Museum in Prague
The National museum is located in the Wenceslas Square and was founded by Kaspar Maria von Sternberg in 1818 to exhibit natural and historical collections. Today the National Museum contains around 14 million items of history, arts, natural history, and music.
The main departments and collection of the Museum are: the Department of Prehistory and Protohistory, Classical Archeology, Ethnography, Numismatics and Department of Theater.
